Post Green House
I just picked up 4 2.1m x 1.8m double glazed windows in timber frames for free & the gentleman giving them away also included two old bullet proof glass doors off a bank. So these will now be used to build our greenhouse.
Thinking of using bricks on the southern wall to retain heat, and using the old bank doors as the doors into the green house...even though they weigh 150kg per door
I'll throw up pictures as we go...might take a few months to get it done!

You could use the doors as the roof then you would NEVER have to worry about hail damage ;)

:) sure thing governor, I figured I would most likely use a chain block to place the amour plated glass in position. Will start with the slab first then the besser block walls. So plenty to do before help will be needed.

Sounds good, before I ask for help I figure i'll get the slab poured and do the rear wall. Then I might grab a hand moving the frames into position. :)

Yep the glass is currently gathering cobwebs while we collect wine bottles as we have decided to do the back wall out of old wine bottles filled with water to add some more thermal mass.
