Post The other project that takes me away from farming
In my intro thread I talked about how another project had distracted me away from the veg garden.....this is said project...... a 1965 XP Falcon Stationwagon.......I have left out alot of photos of the build including rust repairs

We are currently working on the roof...unfortunately we have had a few issues with it, resulting in having to repaint it on a couple of occasions already ...its a pearl with white metal flake....this is the good side ...the other side developed an issue last weekend when we were cutting and buffing it. We are now trying to rectify that issue without having to paint the whole roof again.

I just love auto restorations. It's going to be an amazing looking machine when you've finished. Let the distraction from farming continue ;)

Thats nice mate.
Don't know much about the old falcons to know if the rear spats area mod or originaly but the rear wheels look tough with them on.
Changing the tyre would be a pain in the bum though. A few kombi owners have lowered theirs so much it has created a issue when getting a flat. All in the name of beauty though.

From memory, the spats on my fathers FB Holden were clip ons. You pulled them off to change the inevitable cross ply flats!
