Yes they are fast to get up and about it takes about an hour from birth until they are standing & not long after that drinking :)

Thanks, yes seems to have a bit of potential!
Plans at the moment are to keep him entire for 12 months and re-assess then :)

Glad all went well with her being so overdue.......I cant even imagine how you handled that each day and night....wondering and checking on her.

He is really cute though and i love the markings.

An update on da Vinci who we have now weaned from his mum, who is now back in foal to our friends imported stallion.
We have been training him for showing this season as he is booked in to go to the Canberra Royal Show & Sydney Royal Easter, however as a starting point we took him out to Crookwell so that he could get some experience of both travel & showing at a smaller show.
He not only behaved incredibly well but took out 1st place in colt under 2 & Reserve Champion against some strong competition including older horses.

I forgot to mention we had a fantastic friend offer to lead him for us as I dwarf them in the ring & make it look like i'm leading a miniature pony!
