Post Horse update please
I'd love an update on how everyone is going with their horses.
Oldies being preped to get through winter, your young ones, mares in foal etc?
Did anyone show over the summer/autumn season?

I'll do a better one tomorrow with pictures, we are heading out to our first show on Saturday with one of our mares.
Should have 4 mares in foal for this year, one of which is in foal to our stallion which is always good.
I'll take lots of pictures of our mare out at the show and put them up too :)

Oh that will be exciting which mare are you taking & what show is it?
What about your prep, I bet you've got a big job ahead of you, who gets to do the plaiting?
Good luck with the day, I look forward to hearing the results and seeing some photo's.

We are taking our new mare Jessie out to the show, at this stage Em & a friend of ours are going to have a bash at plaiting but its a small country show so if it doesn't work out then we will just take her into the ring mane out, I'll be doing the leading in the ring which should be rather entertaining!

Thought i would update, we did indeed go to the Goulburn show, Jessie wasn't the best behaved after having a minor freak out with all the new noises etc and managed to collect me a few times with her front hooves, however she did scrub up well and won her class as well as reserved champion overall.

Congratulations Jessie, and well done Cai. A few more shows and she will get used to the noises I expect. I noticed you managed to plait her mane.

Not sure she will get another outing as she's starting to get rather pregnant, wish I could take credit for the plaiting but it was a friend who was helping us show ;)
Show season is pretty much over here now, however we've got our young gelding that we will be prepping for show next year :)

:clap Hooray for the big mumma, and all involved in her prep and handling. She is obviously one good mare to be breeding with, hopefully bubs will follow suit.
