Post Perennial pasture - idea on costs?
Just wondering if anyone here has experience with the establishment of perennial pasture. I can get a grant that is $80/hectare - a small drop in the ocean compared to the estimated costs of $600-800/hectare. Has anyone costed this for themselves? We would need a mix that survives in less than 500mm annual rainfall and don't mind it quite heavy on native grasses - apparently phalaris won't survive that rainfall.
Cheers
Tracey
