Post The Fence GOURMET BACKYARD Built
Just thought I'd post up a massive thanks to the good folk of Gourmet Backyard for the supplies that have rebuilt the fence around my 'farm' area.
Finally I have something that is strong enough to keep the crazy dogs away from the chickens and vegies.
A special thanks to Cai and Em for taking the time to deliver all the materials. Also for the donation of chain-link fencing and a couple of rolls of wire.
Also thanks to Aussiehen who was generous enough to share the ready supply of timber.
The fencing is all done, even with a proper gate to come. All I need to do is talk the wife round to the awesome (in my head) idea of making it a drop down 'draw bridge' gate.

Pics to come when the gate is finished, or maybe earlier if I get organised.

No worries on dropping off the stuff, glad that you got some good use out of it :)
I'll look forward to seeing the finished result & for the record a draw bridge gate sounds very cool ;)

Mrs Gibbery the draw bridge is an essential part of the garden and MUST be included ;)

Well, much to the dismay of good times, and a win for common sense and ease.
The gate is finished, but unfortunately no draw bridge gate.
I went the simpler option and just built a proper one.
As promised, piccies have arrived now that all is complete.

The timber across the bottom adds a little extra protection from the dogs, but also adds to the 'rustic' charm.

Just to show how terrible the last fence was.

As am I SaabMan, although as happens all too often, common sense and logic won out.
