Post Canberra Show - no dogs?
A friend of mine went to the show and didn't see any dogs, poultry or even pigs on show?
Doesn't that happen anymore? :hmm

When did she go? We showed our pup on the Saturday and Sunday, and our greyhound Tommy was part of the Dr Harry stage show, so yes there definitely were dogs :)

Given that we had the dogs, we didn't get a chance to see much else, but I'm sure there were pigs being shown. There was certainly pig racing and pig diving (not too sure how I feel about those things, but they were definitely there).

Perhaps your friend couldn't find the right pavillions/dog rings?

Definitely dogs there one of the llamas spent to day starring in their direction and hummed a low warning noise. Can't say I saw any poultry or pigs (except in the farmyard display)

I showed dogs on the Sunday. Definitely dogs there every day. If she was there late Sunday though she likely missed everything.

The poultry show is held separately now. The Royal Canberra National Poultry Show is held in June. A big show (about 5000 birds) is held about every 4 years and this year is it. They hold a smaller show (about 1000 birds) every other year. http://www.rncas.org.au/Poultry2/site/index.php

No competition for pigs at the show.
