how is your pup, I looked up this breed and they hunt boar are you going to train it to do this? We have people over here that use plot hound, Great danes, walkers, catahoulas and some that are a mix of other breeds. I have seen these dogs in action and they know what to do some times they get hurt but on TV I have not seen any get hurt they grab the boar by the ear and hold it.

Just curious some thing this is barbaric how they hunt wild boar or feral boar.

hi there :D
our puppy or should i say big boy Jed is never going to hunted.
we've owned a few of this breed and for us they are purely for family pets/protection.

jed is now 12mths old and over 40kgs :D

the breed is a very capable pig hunter but as we have 7 small children it would be very irresponsible of us to have a dog that has been used to hunt.
however im not opposed to the breed being used for what they were bred to do.

i love catahoulas :D
