Post Our new purchase!
I've been rather quiet of late, rather flat out with work having had just 2 days off in the last couple of months.
Over the past few months we've been chasing down a new bull for our Dexter herd, trying to find something that would really give us a good lift in quality.
Apparently good things come to those who wait as we were lucky enough to purchase a half share in a young bull called Darling Range Hot Rod.
Hot Rod is by Rawlings Coppertop (sadly now deceased) out of Kirrup Park Wedgewood - this makes him the half brother to Rawlings Blueprint who we've admired for a long time.
He is still residing with the breeders but will come to our farm in a months time for his 6 month holiday up north.
Rather excited about his arrival I must say!
Managed to get a good picture of him to post up too.

For those interested in the pedigree side of things - I think this link should work...

Handsome looking fellow. Half shares sounds good.

He looks Fab, congratulations, especially being the pedigree you admire.

We are rather chuffed to have him! Hopefully a few heifers as to date we are 1 out of 4 on the heifer front!
