Post Re: My new boys
I just love goats. So just to have fun, comic entertainment... I love racing them up and down their paddock, & they love chasing the car as it goes up and down the drive. Taking down their treats, silver beet, thistles, pea sprouts., oh and Smooch isn't called that for nothing, he just loves a cuddle.

But to be truthful I was hoping their role on the farm would be to move them around during the day to eat out some of the difficult to access area's. They would only be tethered during the day time, and back to their paddock at night. So far they are proving to be far too distressed when moved out of their regular paddock. They will also be getting left over fruit from the orchard and fruit tree pruning's when available.

Enter BAZIL....a new goat (also a toggie)....another reject someone doesn't want anymore  (annoys me no end when people can have an animal that long and then just turf them). Please read our place is far becoming the local retirement village for unwanted chooks and goats and .....etc....
Dear old fellow is 6yo, always been tethered, but has now come to goatie heaven, prior to entering the pearly gates. I am hoping this old man will show the newbies how it's done ;) . It's been a long time since he has met another goat, but he just fit right in when they dropped him off today. So he now has a large free range paddock and a couple of mates to hang out with. I'll take a photo tomorrow, to introduce him.
