Post New Ram
The other week I drove all the way up to Coffs Harbour to pick up our new Dorper ram & couldn't resist a couple of ewes to keep him company on the journey.
His name is Alurama Boyd he is a lovely big lad & classed as a Type 5.
The ewes are type 4's.

That's an amazing ram, I love the Mickey Mouse line. Did you get him from Munbilla?

Yes I did grab him from munbilla, I'm a big fan of both Mickey Mouse and Moto Moto so I liked this chap as he is a nice blance of new genetics and Aussie ones.

To be honest I never notice any of the shed fleece I can only image that the birds snaffle it for nesting?

Maybe its biodegradable - like the plastic bags

I know if we have a ewe (merino, borderleister etc) die/killed in the paddock the fleece hangs around for ages.

Just went up to check the flock on the bike & because you asked I was deliberately looking for fleece and couldn't spot any - so not sure perhaps its lighter and blows further away to stick to merino's ;)
Or perhaps its biodegradable...not sure!

I reckon there is some fairly fancy cosy nests & some spoilt baby birds around your place Cai ;) .
