Post HELP!! Ram about to die!!
Can someone please help me?!? Our stud Dorper ram, Knackers is really sick. He hasn't lost any condition, but he's frothing at the mouth and can't lift his head, let alone stand up. Can someone PLEASE give me any suggestions as to what this could be?!? If he's no better tomorrow, well have to shoot him.

Is it possible he has white muscle disease?

Caused by selenium deficiency..

I don't think so, he just sat down on Monday and can't get up. Thank you though!

Blocked airway? Does he seem to have raspy breathing, was he eating anything like whole oats prior to this?

We had a very similar thing happen earlier in the winter with a new batch of Lucerne - only our ram behaved like this, could barely walk, frothing, circling - I really thought he would be dead next day but not and excellent within days. I could only think it was like rye grass staggers or he had bashed his head once too often ( he's a maniac!) fingers crossed for you
