now that he has been relieved of all that wool and you can see his actual size, do you think he is a good age and weight for the butcher now? He is about 10 months old and a Border Leicester cross (I think.)

Peter Pan got picked up by the butcher on Saturday. He was slaughtered and hung until today when he was cut up and delivered. I am very pleased with the result.

Just over 23kg, including offal. Cuts are half legs, chump chops, loin chops, belly, shanks and the forequarters as mince. Offal is kidneys, brain, liver and heart.

Anyone got any good kidney recipes? That is the only part I do not have a taste for, but I want to respect the life he has given for me.

when I saw the the pictures of the bags of meat that was a bit of a shock to the system :o
