I'm thinking of making a. Green house out of polycarbonate sheets instead now.

We have a polycarbonate green house Bernie. It's been great over winter. In the last fortnight it has been getting up to 40C even with the vents and door open so this weekend a shade sail will go over the top to try and cool it down.

I grew the seedlings by the fire place behind a north facing window last year. They did really well. This year that spot is reserved for overflow from the greenhouse.
I would recommed designing a stable door into your greenhouse. It's very useful to close the bottom half to keep out rabbits, kangaroos and livestock whilst having the top half open for ventilation and provide fresh air.
