I was just thinking, on a serious note until I got to the end of your reply, that it could be used in Australia on a couple of the dominant animals in a herd, including the ram/s.

Or on your alpacas who are guarding the sheep - any animal whose heart rate would be raised to sent a text message would be enough to warn the owner.

You wouldnt have to collar ever sheep / animal

Gosh it probably would be great for preventing the stealing of animals.

Bloody shame about Australia's S##t telecommunication ability or this would perfect.
