Post New piglets!
I thought I would share, we had another litter of piglets the other day our first pure home born large blacks, we have bought in a few litters but these are the first ones born here.
They were born during the daytime so we got to watch the birth, 11 piglets all up with 10 survivors.
Roberta or Bert Bert is proving to be an excellent mum / milk truck.

Congrats!! Too cute :D

I'm loving the Large Blacks - the crossbred boys were always dancing at the fence for their breakfast. The new girls don't get up for breakfast and are usually still asleep when I leave for work - even with a good belly rub as a wake up, they just grunt, roll over further and start snoring

Hey There
Your Mumsie pig certainly puts a new spin on alternatives to bottle feeding.
Gotta love baby piglets......
Poor Mum how does she tolerate it....

it is something that suprised me too- how late they sleep in and how hard it is for them to deign to leave thier 'pile' and get on with the day

seeing them argue at dusk over who gets to be on the bottom of the sleeping pile and right in the middle is a crackup too
