I had the idea the other day that the pigs might enjoy the odd round bale of lucerne & that it would also be great for them to spread the lucerne hay around under the eucalyptus trees to help improve the soil.
I turned out to be right they are having a hugely fun time munching on the bale!
Its also a nifty way of giving them some green roughage while they are not on grass.

No unfortunately not I think the Old Spot is pretty much extinct in Australia, they are a Berkshire x Tamworth, the big black one is a large black & the little piglets are large black x berkshire!

Yeah, I thought they were extremely rare if not extinct here now... but those lovely spots had me thinking wishfully! They are great looking pigs (I want to smoosh the piglets, how gorgeous are they!), and they all look to be really enjoying their lives 8-) :D

if u think they like that wait and see what happens if u give them oaten hay mine start makeing noise if they see round bales on the ute even if there not for them :thumbright jason
