Post Our new Pig - Ethel
We recently purchased a new pig to be a breeding sow, she has done the rounds of a few forum members we tried to purchase her off allclassifeds a few years ago to be beaten by rayan she was then purchased by Carole & now in a nice ending she has arrived with us.
She's an unregistered large black called Ethel, she could possibly be in pig to a berkshire boar but time will tell.
She has settled in nicely with her new friends, I snapped a few shots of her, she is a touch skinny but thats just due only just being taken away from some greedy piglets.

Thanks guys, I'll let you know if she does start to look pregnant jason she averages 12 / litter so no doubt she'll have a sow :)
Davo the two other big ones are tamworth x berkshire, nice pigs lovely temperament be interested to see how they cross with a large black once I hunt down a boar piglet.

Thanks Cai , my pigs look exactly the same so thats why I asked.
I was told that mine were a Berkshire cross ( I seen the father and he was a purebred ) but I forgot what the mother was , I did see her and she just looked like a wild pig to me lol.
