Post My Sick Papaya plant... how do I treat it
My have a baby papaya plant which I bought as seedling from Bunnings..

I think it is some sort of fungus.. not really sure.. how do I treat it, also, I have my new banana plant growing very close to it.. is this contagious.. should I pull the whole plant out and dispose??

Yellowing of leaves could be so many things. Are you able to give a closer look at the leaves?

Where abouts are you, and whats the weather doing?

Have you checked for any white looking mites or scale?

If its fungus you could try spraying a little milk over it, sometime the bacteria will kill the fungus.

Also a good feed can also help boost the plant and fight off whatever it is eaiser as well.

I would move the mulch away from the stem a little , with all the rain we have been having in queensland lately it may be that it is just getting too much !! This will allow the soil to dry out a little and not be so wet,) feeding it as carrie said would no doubt be beneficial but i would make sure you dont just give it a manure boost , give it something slow release with trace elements.
Is your soil moulded a little to allow run off or is it straight on ground level?
