Post Blank ants - natural pest control?
After the recent rain, black ants have decided to build a nest amongst my lillies. Anyone know of anything natural to use? (not boiling water)

Cheers.

Have you ever tried it? I'm worried it will kill the lillies?

We have had to learn to live with ants around the house here- very frustrating
I've been thinking about a house echidna for a while

 that's a great idea, I need one too! Some of my plants seem to be failing big time and not sure if it is stress, too much rain or the ants :scratch

Two red robins just died :?:

Thanks guzzigirl, some interesting tips. But the mulch theory is busted. Our gardens and pot plants are mulched with green waste that went through a shredder and since the heavy rains, the ants have made thier new nests in the garden beds, and in my pot plants. Raaah! The green ants are really bad in our lawn too, the kids can't play outside without shoes on :(
