Post Managing a vegie garden for a family of 4 - staggering ?'s
I'd really like my garden to be more productive as far as supporting our family of 4. I have 3 small/med raised beds and lots of pots.
I do love growing in pots to make up for the space I don't have elsewhere.

What I'm wanting members to share is:
How to you go about staggering your plantings to get the most benefit?
Are all vegies different or is the 4 weeks apart rule the way to go?
How do you manage this with bed rotations as well?

We're really only just starting to work this out ourselves, so I think perhaps someone with more experience would have a better answer. :) I'd be interested in the advice too...

Hi jayups,
i wrote a planting guide incorporating crop rotation for my kids school a few years back, if you pm me your email, i can send you a copy.

a great book to read about the things you are wanting to know is "one magic square" tells you exactly what to plant and when, no guesswork involved.

i use permaculture theory, great for lazy people like myself, do a google on food forests, it's all about the soil.
