Post Healing fruit trees attacked by rabbits!
Spent the whole day (when not watching for lambs ;) ) rescuing my orchard of bare rooted fruit trees from rabbit attack of the tree bark. Have surrounded all with chicken wire but wondering if there is something I need to do to heal the bark. Obviously it is now prone to disease as some areas have gone deep -little b----ds :x

G'day I would use a product called steri prune or something like that available at Bunnings it's usually used straight after pruning so should heal and sterile before any attack from fungile sets in ... I have also heard about using honey as that has healing as well as anti fungile properties , maybe someone else has also heard that one ??

Thanks so much ollie girl - absolutely - you have reminded me about honey and its miraculous properties - I am going to give that a go!
