Post Tomatoes
Are anyone else's stuck at almost ripe but not going the last step with the cooler weather?
I'm going nuts with about 40kg of tomatoes that I want to harvest but can't!

Patience, young padawan! I've been picking ripe ones for 2 weeks, but they took a LONG time to get there (...though I did plant late in the season...). I'd say you'll get some soon. I (and it sounds like you did too!), put the basil in too early and the toms too late!

I'm jealous of Mum and Dad who've had ripe toms since early december because they had their act together with their seed raising!

I've got heaps of tomatoes ripening every day ... but only cherry toms (tommy toes) which self seeded. I'm harvesting a basket full every 3 days and they are the sweetest ever. Mind you my zucchinis have been a bit of a failure this year due to powdery mildew, but not all hope is lost as it looks like they are getting healthy again after a severe cropping of mouldy leaves ... hmm, now for less evening showers and I might be able to harvest more than 2!
Cai, have you tried harvesting a few and leaving them to ripen on the bench out of the direct sunlight ... highly recommended by several gardening writers.
